I wanted the 19 R Garage Door but ended up with a 9R because the 19 R did not come in in time. I would've thought with the rush we had asked for would've got it in closer to four weeks instead of six We don't live in Florida, so it was really important to get it put on while we were there. Had to go to a Lower grade. Got to say the Installer, Lauren) and the people we dealt with over the phone (especially Alana) were top-notch! Just not happy with whoever supplies them with their garage doors.

I contacted Precision Garage Door when my garage door would neither stay closed nor open properly. Having never needed garage door repairs before, I chose them based on their strong Google reviews. They were very responsive and scheduled service for the next day. The technician was professional, explained the motor options, and I approved the repair based on the quoted price, trusting it was a fair solution. Afterward, I researched comparable garage door opener systems and found that the roughly $1,600 I paid for the motor and installation was significantly higher than many similar options. Because I was unfamiliar with garage door repairs, I relied on the technician’s recommendations and did not realize how expensive the selected option was. While I appreciated the prompt service and professionalism, I was disappointed with the overall value. I encourage future customers to research pricing, ask about alternatives, and obtain multiple quotes before making a decision. UPDATE (5/12/2026) After posting my original review, the branch manager, Bill, personally reached out to discuss my concerns. We had a very productive conversation, and I appreciated the time he took to listen and better understand my perspective. My frustration was never with the quality of the work or the professionalism of the technician. Rather, as someone unfamiliar with garage door repairs, I felt I did not fully understand the range of options available and only later realized that I had selected one of the more expensive solutions. Bill took the time to explain the differences between the available products and acknowledged my concerns. Most importantly, Precision stood behind its commitment to customer satisfaction and worked with me to reach a resolution that I felt was fair. While I still encourage customers to ask questions and understand all available options before making a decision, I am very appreciative of the way Precision handled my concerns. Their responsiveness, professionalism, and willingness to make things right have left me with a much more positive impression of the company.

Precision Door staff came out the same day that I called. My old garage door opener has finally stopped working after 20 years. Sammy the technician was very courteous and helpful. He had the right garage door opener with him. He installed it efficiently and took the old opener away. Very happy with the results and the warranty.

Precision Garage Door of Tampa has always provided excellent and timely service over the years. Late afternoon yesterday our garage door was stuck, it would not go up or down, nightfall was coming. Aaron Whiteman, Residential Technician, attended to this emergency repair starting around 6:30pm for several hours. Aaron was friendly, patient, providing excellent client service. A new Genie and Key Pad were successfully installed, and the movement of the garage door is quieter than it has been for years! I am so pleased. So appreciated. Our garage door wouldn’t stay closed, regardless of what remote we used. Even though it was Sunday, Our technician was friendly and very knowledgeable. He checked every possible cause and left after making sure the door closed and stayed shut.

My technician was on time, polite and explained the details of what was wrong with my current garage door system. The new one works great, but I am not entirely happy with how the purchase was handled. Once it was confirmed I needed a new door, I was given a price that seemed high, then there were add-ons. I take responsibility for not asking if there was another choice for the equipment. Unfortunately I was distracted with a work issue and I should have asked. Clearly I was only presented with the hight end version - only one option! I did not even know it had a camera, which I find totally unnecessary. For anyone else making a purchase, ask what all the choices and options are.

In the past I've always used Precision Garage Door Service. There was an issue with cost which was rectified after calling to complain. The service tech was friendly, and knowledgeable as to what needed to be done. Precision offers a 7 year warranty on their garage door openers, most other places only offer 2 years. Overall, I am satisfied with Precision since they did give me a refund. My recommendation would be to do some shopping around so that you can make a more informed decision.

I like that I was given options. I selected a Genie with a chain drive. When he was all done, I was told that he did not have a chain drive assembly on his truck and as a result, installed a belt drive. I would have preferred to have waited and installed the chain drive later, but was never given the option.

Called to get my opener repaired, but after considering age and lack of technology with my current unit, I decided to upgrade. Technician James Long was great in suggestions and install. The unit was a little pricey compared to what I’ve paid in the past, but James explained differences and encouraged me to check around before making my decision. 4 stars, as I didn’t receive an invoice because I paid by check. I would have paid in a different manner had I understood that. Then, a day later upon receiving the invoice electronically, satisfaction of the work completed was “x’d” as my signature. I was never given the opportunity to sign so an x should not have been signed for me.

I was satisfied with everything, but your pricing scheme. I understand you’re running a business for a profit. However, I don’t think your add ons such as shop supplies and “fleet” charge are good business and will probably over time cost you customers.

The first installer forgot to connect wires to the warning devices. Both red and green lites were not operating. This first installer needs to cover the 3" of butt crack that he exposes, PLS. Installer #2 fixed all issues and did a fine job in getting the door to operate properly. No cracks exposed! All is good at this writing.

Repairman, Jeremy called twenty minutes before he showed up to let us know when he would arrive. Jeremy explained clearly everything that needed to be replaced. I would highly recommend Precision Garage Door. This is our second time they have serviced our garage door.

I called precision garage because I want them to check for door damage . I parked my car too near the door that the rear part of the car “got entangled” with the door . The garage door stopped halfway going down. I also requested Safety maintenance service. The repair man came after an hour of wait. His name is Noah Geer. After checking the door, Noah explained the job to me clearly and patiently. He was pleasant ,patient and courteous. He appeared confident and that was reassuring.
