We were able to schedule a call within hours of contacting Precision. The tech called with notice that he was headed our way. After testing our 19 yr old opener, it was determined that replacement of the door opener was the best option. Tech presented several options, with no high pressure to purchase one over another. The installation was handled quickly and professionally. The work area was cleaned.

I had an issue with my garage door only opening about an inch and stopping - it wouldn't go any further. Since Precision Garage Door Service originally installed my garage door a number of years ago, and I was very happy with their product and service at that time, I called them to have someone come out and look into this. As with the previous work done by them, I was not disappointed. They were able to get someone to come out that very day which was great, as I was not able, in any way, to open my garage door - not even manually. The technician kept me updated as to his time of arrival - excellent communication. This is very important and was especially helpful, as this situation was concerning to me and I was wanting someone to come out as soon as possible. The technician was knowledgeable, professional and thorough. He explained things to me every step of the way. He presented all of my options with no high pressure and I was satisfied with the choices that I made. He went above and beyond, to make sure that I was absolutely satisfied with all of his work. His attention to detail, and the fact that he wanted to do his very best work, was comforting to me. He is definitely an asset to the company, someone really great to have on their team. I wasn't expecting to spend what I spent but, since he was there, I decided that it would be worth it to have some other parts replaced, in addition to the one that caused the issue (torsion spring). The cost may have been more than I anticipated but the value for your money is worth it. And they offered a senior discount which brought the outlay down; that was truly helpful. Overall, I was pleased with everything. Each experience that I have had with Precision Garage Door Service has been a very satisfactory one and I am thankful that they are one of the businesses out there that actually take pride in their work, stand behind their work and care about their customer's satisfaction! Bravo!!!

They were very responsive and scheduled service for the next day. The technician was professional, explained the motor options, and I approved the repair based on the quoted price, trusting it was a fair solution. Afterward, I researched comparable garage door opener systems and found that the roughly $1,600 I paid for the motor and installation was significantly higher than many similar options. Because I was unfamiliar with garage door repairs, I relied on the technician’s recommendations and did not realize how expensive the selected option was. While I appreciated the prompt service and professionalism, I was disappointed with the overall value. I encourage future customers to research pricing, ask about alternatives, and obtain multiple quotes before making a decision. UPDATE (5/12/2026) After posting my original review, the branch manager, Bill, personally reached out to discuss my concerns. We had a very productive conversation, and I appreciated the time he took to listen and better understand my perspective. My frustration was never with the quality of the work or the professionalism of the technician. Rather, as someone unfamiliar with garage door repairs, I felt I did not fully understand the range of options available and only later realized that I had selected one of the more expensive solutions. Bill took the time to explain the differences between the available products and acknowledged my concerns. Most importantly, Precision stood behind its commitment to customer satisfaction and worked with me to reach a resolution that I felt was fair. While I still encourage customers to ask questions and understand all available options before making a decision, I am very appreciative of the way Precision handled my concerns. Their responsiveness, professionalism, and willingness to make things right have left me with a much more positive impression of the company.
